Dr. Charles Matchett


Dr. Matchett attended veterinary school at Tufts University in New England and later completed a residency in comparative medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine and Yerkes National Primate Research Center. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine, has published numerous peer-reviewed articles relating to nonhuman primate medicine and surgery, and is coauthor on a CRC Press book on ferret medicine. Dr. Matchett previously served as the attending veterinarian at the Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute in Albuquerque, NM. He has had 17 years of experience working with numerous species. Dr. Matchett, his wife, Christine, and 4 children moved from Santa Fe, NM to Colorado Springs in late 2017 with their 4 dogs, Ginger, Heidi, Flash, and Arya. He enjoys backpacking, camping, fishing, skiing, and spending time with his family, and is happy to be a team member at Banfield's Southgate location.
