Dr. Kang is a Los Angeles native and started her career in high school as a kennel assistant at a local animal clinic. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in biology at Occidental College, she gained more experience working as a technician. During her final year of college, she studied abroad in Australia, where she further studied the relationship between humans and animals. Her love for international perspectives and experiences led her to attend veterinary school at St. George’s University in the Caribbean island of Grenada. She completed her clinical rotations at Oregon State University where she advanced her surgical skills by performing numerous spays and neuters at the Oregon Humane Society. After school, she came back home to sunny California and joined Banfield in October of 2017. Her animal family consists of two pet rats, Princess Buttercup and Sasha Fierce, and two cats, Blackie (pictured) and Khaleesi.
