Dr. Betts earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and pre-veterinary studies from Xavier University in 2004. She then attended and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, she moved to Florida with her pets Sadie, an Anatolian Shepherd mix, and Diamond, a Shiba Inu/Chow mix. In Orlando, Dr. Betts practiced small animal medicine at a charter Banfield for 3 years and then moved to Los Angeles where she practiced small and exotic animal medicine before transferring to Banfield La Cienega. She is passionate about traveling, zoo/wildlife medicine and studies. Dr. Betts has been to Australia and Africa to study abroad, as well as to several of the Caribbean Islands. Outside of traveling and veterinary medicine, Dr. Betts enjoys quality time with her family and friends, music/concerts, and hiking.
