Dr. Vega grew up in upstate New York and started her undergraduate studies at Northeastern University in Massachusetts after graduating high school. She then decided to take time off from her studies to raise her 2 children. She obtained her Associate in Science degree with citations in honors in 2008 from Orange County Community College in New York. She then obtained her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude with citations in honors (2011), and a Master of Science in biotechnology (2012) from Marywood University in Pennsylvania. She then received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2017. After graduation, she moved to Salt Lake City area to join the Banfield family in the summer of 2017. Her professional interests include pathology, exotics, and animal behavior. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her 2 daughters, her dog named Cataleya and her cat, Sir Artimus.
