Dr. Haupt grew up in Delano, MN with the childhood dream of becoming an equine and small-animal veterinarian. After working on farms she realized she loved small animals more. She received her bachelor's in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and earned her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota-College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She joined Banfield Pet Hospital as a small-animal veterinarian in July of 2007. Away from the hospital Dr. Haupt enjoys keeping busy with her husband and their two little boys Kyle and Joshua. They also have two cats named Wembley and Gobo.
