    Dr. Robert Howland

    Veterinarian

Dr. Howland is celebrating his 7th year with Banfield and recently moved to Las Vegas. He has had a fascination and affection for all kinds of animals, both pets and wildlife, for as long as he can remember and decided to make a career of this passion. Dr. Howland graduated from the veterinary school at OSU in 1988 and has worked at various veterinary hospitals in his home town of Tulsa. He has had both dogs and cats as pets and companions. In his spare time, Dr. Howland enjoys running, biking, hiking, and the arts. He especially enjoys the great outdoors and likes to travel when possible. He's run marathons, including Boston and New York, hiked rim to rim and back at the Grand Canyon, and even jumped out of a perfectly good airplane once. Dr. Howland looks forward to contributing to the health and happiness of your four legged friends. More Details >>

    Dr. Velia Waite

    Veterinarian

Dr. Waite was born and raised in Mexico until her family moved to Las Vegas when she was 11 years old. She has always loved animals and wanted to become a veterinarian since a very young age. She is now a proud mother of two wonderful children and two dogs. She-Ra is a 9-year-old pit bull terrier she adopted after she was abandoned at a local veterinary hospital where Dr. Waite was working, and Botack Jr. is a 5-year-old pit bull terrier mix. He thinks he is still a puppy and the only thing he is interested in is playing all day. Dr. Waite is a 2012 graduate from Western University of Health Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine and she joined the Banfield family in July 2012. She loves working here because it provides the opportunity to help a large number of pets and their families by providing quality medicine with a strong focus on preventive care. More Details >>

    Dr. Laura Klaassen

    Veterinarian

Dr. Klaassen is our newest addition to the Deer Springs family. She was born and raised in Las Vegas and returned after finishing veterinary school at Colorado State University. Prior to graduating, she worked as a veterinary assistant in many veterinary clinics including a few practices in the valley and in Oregon. Some of her volunteer time before veterinary school included wildlife rehabilitation, greyhound rescues, and conservation educational programs. At home, she has one cat named Boop. In her spare time, Dr. Klaassen enjoys traveling, especially to go see her family in Oregon, and supporting our Vegas Golden Knights by attending games. She worked in a feline exclusive practice before joining our family. She is happy to be working with both dogs and cats! Dr. Klaassen looks forward to helping your pets get the care that can lead to a happy and healthy lifestyle. More Details >>
